Altered Books

Altered books is your opportunity for a total creative outlet. It is a regular hard bound book that you make your own. You decorate a page any way you want to adding a poem or a quote that you love but wouldn't put on a scrapbook page or even say nothing with words just with color and design. You can glue several pages in the book together then cut out a shape in the center for a clock or something that represents you. (Sort of like the old westerns where they hid a bottle or a gun in the Bible.)

Some people are forming round robins with their friends so everyone gets 3-4 weeks to do their 2 page spread and you don't see the book again for several months. Then you can enjoy what others have added and make your own additions before passing it on.
